In this playful, interdisciplinary workshop we will be exploring the relationship to different materials and forms. What can we learn from working with different materials that will inspire and enrich our movement and our contact dance? We will be working in solo, duos and groups with different objects and materials, like balls, sticks, sandbags or paper. Through them, we will engage our creativity, exploring topics like spirals, momentum, weight transfer, reactivity, qualities of listening and leading/following and apply our learning to the contact improvisation practise.

Instead of thinking of manipulating and actively moving the objects, we are going to learn from them, sensitizing ourselves to listen to and follow the form and quality of the medium itself and the way it moves and proposes us…
